Pollydot for Handymans – How It Works

1. Registration & profile

  • Registering with Pollydot is free.
  • You create a profile with your details and the services you offer.
  • Only complete profiles get access to ads.
  • Clients can view your profile before choosing you.

2. Receiving & accepting ads

  • You receive ads in your region and field of expertise.
  • You decide whether to accept or decline an ad.
  • The price is fixed in advance and all-in.
  • There are no hidden costs.

You are never obligated to accept anything.

3. Payment & security

  • The client pays Pollydot upfront.
  • The payment is securely held (escrow).
  • You are paid only after the ad is completed and approved.

This ensures that the money is available before you start.

4. Carrying out the ad

  • You perform the ad on the agreed date and time.
  • You deliver work of good quality.
  • You use your own tools and materials, unless agreed otherwise.
  • Additional work is only carried out after approval from the client.

5. Approval & payout

  • After completion, the client approves the ad via Pollydot.
  • Once approved, your payment is released immediately.
  • If the client does not respond within 24 hours, approval and payment are automatic.

6. Cancellation & no-show

  • If the client cancels after ad confirmation, you receive 30% of the agreed amount.
  • If the client does not show up or the ad cannot proceed due to the client, the same compensation applies.
  • Unjustified cancellations or no-shows by the handyman may result in warnings or (temporary) suspension.

7. Reviews

  • Clients can review you after the ad.
  • You can also review clients.
  • Positive reviews increase your visibility and chances of future ads.

8. Prohibited actions

To protect everyone, it is not allowed to:

  • share contact details before ad confirmation
  • arrange payments outside Pollydot
  • make agreements outside the platform

This prevents disputes and payment issues.

9. Always through Pollydot

All communication, payments and approvals take place via Pollydot. Only this way are you protected and can Pollydot assist in case of questions or conflicts.
